SEI Club Recommendation # 1
42 Grams
There are very few places in Chicago that can offer you with a better fine dining experience, (while still having a fairly relaxed atmosphere) for your date than 42 Grams. Having earned 2 Michelin Stars in its first 10 months, it serves a multi-course tasting menu and its kitchen is open to the dining room. Needless to say, you will not be disappointed once you enjoy the food and ambience at 42 Grams. If you prefer a beautifully designed meal bursting with a sophisticated flavor palate, all in a relaxed BYOB setting, 42 grams is perfect for you and your special date.

Blackbird
Blackbird is another great restaurant that is incredibly delightful for you and your exquisite date in Chicago. The food is impeccably prepared, fresh, delicious, and you definitely get a stellar dining experience here as well. If you prefer to enjoy the finest cuisine that’s a touch heartier than some other fine dining options (Midwestern food-inspired), Blackbird is a wonderful choice. Be sure to invite one of your favorite people to be sure the experience is superb.

El Ideas
El Ideas has definitely redefined the art of fine dining in Chicago and it is considered by many to be one of the best places to enjoy food (to the tune of 13 small courses) with your essentially perfect date. It strives to be less stuffy and more casual so if you’re looking for outstanding food with a more relaxed atmosphere this is a great place for you. The chefs and diners are all in one open space which makes this an especially casual fine dining experience.

Tru

The 4-star restaurant is a class apart from the rest and offers a great selection of cuisines that will delight anyone. It has no shortage of accolades, and rightfully so as everything from the atmosphere to the food is as pleasant as one could hope.
